Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo

The Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo was very good this year… I didn’t have any luck there in the bull riding. I personally like to watch the bull riding and bronc riding, because those are more action packed events. The bull riding wasn’t as good as I thought it should have been. But it’s your own opinion on what you like to watch I suppose… so I hope you enjoyed the BHSS.
All-around cowboy: Trevor Brazile, $4,621, team roping and tie-down roping.
Bareback riding: 1. Steven Dent, 83 points on C5 Rodeo Company’s Blue Jeans
Steer wrestling: 1. Seth Murphy, 3.5 seconds, $3,994
Team roping: 1. Garrett Tonozzi/Kinney Harrell, 4.4, $5,677 each
Saddle bronc riding: 1. Cole Elshere, 86 points on C5 Rodeo Company’s Betty Bucks, $4,489
Tie-down roping: 1. Trevor Brazile, 7.8 seconds, $4,621
Barrel racing: 1. Theresa Walter, 12.69 seconds, $4,542
Bull riding: 1. (tie) Garrett Vig, on Sutton Rodeos’ King Kong, and Allen Helmuth, on Burch Rodeo Company’s Cottonmouth King, 81 points, $4,053 each
Total payoff: $181,976 to all the staff and place winners in each event.

  3. Bulls and bronc riding is where you think most of the action is? Well I beg to differ, though the stock show didnt go well for me either, barrel racing is the fun even to watch! :)
